  1. I don't like her, and I don't like the whole idea for this movie...
So this film is offcially out of my list.

  2. I will watch the movie, of course, but I don't expect anything either, not after the Wolverine trash. Plus - I like my Emma's new self, not this oooold as #### White Queen storyline they are most likely to put into the story.

  3. I wonder, is it really hard to make a good movie based on the real comics??
If you want to introduce Emma Frost in her White Queen role, at least do it based on the clasic comics where she was brilliant as a villain, the Dark Phoenix saga for example.
And why the people behind the X-Films keep ignoring the brilliant work of Grant Morrison and Joss Whedon in New X-men and Astonishing X-men??
THe worst thing is that Marvel is OK with this shit... at least they should take more care and show a little more respect for their characters...

  4. They get money out of stories everyone knows - no one will dare put something new and exotic in the movie. God, forget the movies - before Grant Morrison came in the X-Men franchise was a boring circle of the same villains, same characters, same stories and same cheesy uniforms. There were a LOT of cool, brilliant stories, but in the retrospective no one dared make something new. And then, all of a sudden, Morrison came, showed everyone a middle-finger, and blew the dust away from the X-Men. Nobody thought it's a good idea, people hated it, but it was so amazing the fans still go crazy over it after all those years.
The movies can't allow that risk - way too much money involved. We get Spider-Man as a teenager (story older than my grandma), we get Wolverine and the over-chewed Weapon X, we get the Avengers with L-A-M-E Thor and Captain America (where are all the cool ones? with personality? like, emm, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch? it's a do-gooders-overdose instead).
Who needs the story of Emma Frost with Scott Summers if everything people want is the boring "romance" between Scotty and Jeanny they already know? They are afraid of anything new. The stereotypes are a save bet. Emma Frost - villain. Main protagonist - Magneto. Young Mutants - only the known ones, God forbid we see the interesting ones like Hellion or Dust or X-23... Meh.
